Situated in Kensington, just behind the Royal Albert Hall and opposite Hyde Park, The Gore is the ideal base from which to explore London. The Natural History, Victoria & Albert and Science Museums, Harrods, Knightsbridge & Kensington Palace are all a short walk away. A great deal of time & effort has been invested to maintain a Victorian splendour that leaves you with the impression that the same family has lived here for years - since the 1870's to be precise. The bustling ground floor Bistrot & 190 Bar are ever popular with musicians (both pop & classical), actors and authors, as well as the local Kensington Set. Our aim is to provide for our guests precisely what we ourselves look for when we visit major cities: mellow surroundings, intelligent, friendly staff and delicious food and wine - all at affordable prices.
